I read Don wrote Dirty Laundry after being hounded by the press after Maren was diagnosed with Epstein-Barr Syndrome.

Thanks for posting Buntzen... pretty lousy, 80s run-of-the-mill video IMHO but had a nice ending.

I don't know whether Don's lost the ability or appetite for writing great little pop songs like Not Enough Love In The World.

It was one of a number of great tracks on Don's Building The Perfect Beast album but I reckon it would be a standout track if it first appeared on Long Road Out Of Eden.

I always thought Dirty Laundry was written after the fallout from the infamous "unconcious 16 year old prostitute discovered at his house" incident...

I bought Cher's It's A Man's World Cd back in '95 and this song is on it.

I didn't compute that the songwriter was Don for ages!!!!  :hiding:

The video was directed by the actor Timothy Hutton.

Don says DL was written after seeing all the sensationalism on the news.....though I'm sure his own brush with the law also played into it.

In addition to all the other juicy morsels of "newsmeat", I also read that it related to the intrusive press coverage following the untimely, sad death of John Belushi.

On a shallow note, I love the butt shots of Don when he's singing on the stage in the beginning.   :love5:

Another speculation (touted subtly as 'OKAY, here's the truth...') targets broadcast 'journalist' Christine Lund after she landed with both hobnails on Don re the teenager's overdose.

Regardless, I enjoyed seeing Maren and Don together.

Speaking of 'shallow lurrrrve. - Lisa has 'the' shot of Don sitting in a chair looking up at the camera.   I think there are those here who've not seen it (hint, hint) :)
