Difference in Fender Basses
Judi:
To all my more musically talented friends, could you answer the following question? What is the difference between these 2 basses which Timothy used in Norway? Timothy has added one of these and changed the bass he uses for LITFL. I believe I have been sick for too long and it's time to get out and about! :laughing7: :laughing7:
They look alike to me but they are not.

I have just had Roy examine the 2 photos
He can't find any difference - only a mark next to one of the pick ups in the top photo.
I asked him about the different colours on the volume control knobs and he says they will not make a difference....black in the top photo....white in the bottom
The only difference I can find is the guitar straps :laughing7:
Wish we could have been more helpful Judi ;D
Pawmuk:
I expect they are tuned differently.
Some guitarists have a different guitars fine tuned for each specific key.
If you're Joe Walsh you have a different guitar for each song... and two if your playing Rocky Mountain Way. :notworthy:
Judi:
Thanks, folks. Just curious. Timothy really isn't into playing a lot of different basses and is so predictable. Leslie, the first thing I noticed was the color on the control knobs, then the straps. The "FTF" strap is still on old faithful, of course. :icon_thumright:

Well they could have stopped using one for a song so the road crew could tune it. An out of tune bass would drive Glenn up the wall. That's particially the reason the guitarist use so many guitars...in Joe's case, he just likes guitars!
