That was a misquote in the article.  It was explained elsewhere that the reporter misunderstood what Joe V. said about Joe W.

Sorry if this is old info! :-\
My pc died and they've cut off my internet at work, so I'm real limited for site time.

Next up for Vitale is a 2009 spring/summer tour with Crosby, Stills & Nash, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Woodstock where the trio played its second gig.

Following that, Vitale said his old Kent buddy Joe Walsh, who will spend the year touring with The Eagles, has called him to talk about touring and possibly recording in 2010.

Noting that Vitale and Passarelli are once again a rhythm section item, for well over a year now, a Barnstorm reunion seems just a breath away. That band must be far more popular now than they were in the early seventies.

On the downside, Joe's recently already done an early seventies revival with The James Gang, and Joe's fans are well overdue a new solo album.

The Eagles have a hefty hold on Joe. If he does get time off, it'll only be a few months at short notice and as Joe and Kenny seem to have full diaries too, anything more than a fleeting Barnstorm encounter is almost impossible.

Wouldn't it be great though. Barnstorm seemed to be the perfect outlet for Joe's musical ambitions.

I'm sure Dale and Jimmy from The James Gang reckon The James Gang are unfinished business, Joe has his first solo album for getting on for 20 years to attend to,! the Eagles are a couple of months into a leisurely paced global tour...and Joe's living One Day At A Time.

Joe's fans are well overdue a new solo album.

We certainly are  ;) Let's hope we get one from him in the near future. A solo DVD would be great too, but that's probably asking too much  :dontknow:  :(

Despite an email reminder, I neglected to tune in to Joe's appearance on the Bob & Tom Radio Show. (Monday June 22nd)

It looks like you have to sign in to listen :(

Joe's (Walsh) fans are well overdue a new solo album.

Can't believe this was posted close on 3 years ago.....

anyway..... as Eagles continue to do their best to prevent anybody hearing Eagles music without first dipping their hands in their pocket or opening their wallets, Joe Vitale jnr is doing the complete opposite;

I'm not that keen on Dancing With Shadows but it's still in my occassional listen collection.  I'm certainly going to give the videos a view.

I'm sure Eagles would also be doing this if they were in the springtime of their careers rather than wrapping up for winter. :-\

Well done JV jnr!

PS.  Just viewed Joey's new christmas tune Jingle, Jingle... brace yourselves :o ;

Lots of Vitale music to listen to at his official MySpace page, including the whole of 1980's Plantation Harbor

Tonnes of star names helping Joe out on this great album.  Joe Walsh is all over it.  Man Gonna Love You stars Don Felder and Marilyn Martin.

You may have heard I'm Flying featured in a TV holiday advert 30 odd years ago. Stunning backing vocals courtesy of Joe V, S Stills, G Nash and TB Schmit.

Production by Bill Szymczyk

Also from Joe Vitale, recently posted on YouTube but from around the same era; (I've also posted this at the Joe Walsh YouTube page)

Well it's the wonderful and much missed Alt Eagle, Dan Fogelberg really..... but Joe Vitale on drums.

I'm sure the Eagles vocal harmonies, contributed to Dan's 1974, Joe Walsh produced album, Souvenirs, had a lot to do with Joe joining the Eagles a few months down the line.

The guy making a spectacle of himself on bass is non other than the other Barnstorm legend, Kenny Passarelli.  :notworthy:  I'd love to see more videos featuring Kenny.  I bought his pastoral piano solo album quite a few years ago.

Making up the numbers is keyboardist Michael Hanna.

Backing vox (not in video = TB Schmit)
