... but here I am again !
So sorry, that I have completely dropped from everyone's radar for over a year.
First things first: I haven't been ill, no catastrophes have happenen to me or my loved ones. Just a series of little things which amounted to one giant problem, that problem being not enough hours to the day.
Those of you who remember me might know that about one and a half years ago I have started a new job and taken over coaching my club's little league team.
Both matters were off to a good start, making 2007 a very good year for me. Then about one year ago things really took off.
After having spent years at a job with long work hours and no chances for improvement my new job not only offered better working conditions and the time to coach the kids but after less than a year there I got the chance to work at bigger projects and now there are indications that I might be offered to be appointed the new deputy department head.
When I started out at that company I didn't have any ambitions beyond doing my job well and earning the respect of my colleagues and superiors, but somehow I feel like someone did wake me up and for the past couple of months I have put a lot of energy into my work. Now I have to wait and see I manage to grab that position.
The other thing that has kept me occupied were my little leaguers. In my first season we managed our first winning record in a decade and one of our kids even made the All-Star team. This year we almost won our league, ending up in a tie for fist place and suffering a heart-breaking loss in the decisive game. We dropped the game 7-6 to a team which only one year before beat us 13-0 and 18-0.
The other thing that happened was that I lost my Eagleland password and couldn't get the system to send me a new one and for some reason I just never got around to send an email to Lisa and Melissa to help me with that little problem. Well, I have to admit laziness played a huge role as well ...
So, in a nutshell that's where I've been and what I've done for the past year. I hope you'll accept my apolgy for neglecting you folks and have me back here.
