Thanks for that Pawmuk.  :icon_thumleft:
I'd been wondering when it would be broadcast and then it slipped my mind to check the schedules again.  ::)

Sorry to disappoint any Glenn fans but he wasn't with Joe on the Jools Holland show.  But ......  Timothy was, looking and sounding really well.  Joe was wonderful as ever - but then I would say that.

Very short interview and nothing new revealed.

Eagles will be on the One Show on  BBC1 this evening at 7pm.  No details of exactly which Eagles will appear.  Just hope that it is a better interview than the last time when Glenn and Joe were on some years ago.

I wonder what tracks Joe would choose if he fancied remaking some of the tracks from his unsober years?

There are quite a few Walsh tracks that I prefer the later, mostly live arrangements to the studio originals.  Turn To Stone, Walk Away, In The City, etc

One for consideration;

I agree about the later version of some of the tracks - never really took to the original Turn to Stone from the Barnstorm album, as I had been listening to one from a Rock compilation album for a long time before I got Barnstorm.

I would really like to hear Joe play You might Need Somebody - it is one of my favourite tracks that Joe didn't write himself (I actually think his version of better than Randy Crawford's).  Did you spot the deliberate mistake on the link Pawmuk?  “Average Ordinary Guy”  :laughing7: :laughing7:  Doesn't quite roll off the tongue.  Oh well ...

Disappointingly, I Don't Wanna Hear Anymore seems to have been skipped but Paul gives his version of the genesis of Love Will Keep Us Alive.

I noticed that too but at least it was included in the list of songs etc at the very beginning of the programme.

The documentary is "Hotel California - LA From The Byrds to the Eagles".  The whole progamme is 90 minutes long and the only Eagle to actually feature in it is Bernie Leadon.  The section on the Eagles is about 15 minutes and the clip you mention has Bernie saying that they only knew 7 songs so played them over and over.

Now just a short wait for Joe's Guitar Seminar at http://joewalsh.com/ and the Gibson Guitar web-site :dontknow:

I couldn't find a link to watch the live stream but I saw on the Gibson Guitar UK Facebook page that they will be posting the tutorial later.

I've gone years without this much Walsh media..... :icon_thumleft:

There's so much to watch, listen to and read - it's hard to keep up  :laughing7:

Thanks for the info Marie and Lisa!  :icon_thumleft:

I've set the recorder for Breakfast - can't find any info on the BBC website but they don't usually give details of guests on the show anyway.

We still don't know for sure when Joe will be on Loose Women (ITV1 12.30pm daily).  Originally scheduled for Wednesday 13th but now looks like it will be Friday 15th.

I wonder where else he may turn up  :dontknow:

I too wasn't sure whether I'd be able to watch last night but it worked - bit shaky at times - but I saw the whole thing.  Joe was on great form! :icon_thumleft:

Jorja - I agree with your comments too.  Marjorie has had a wonderful influence on Joe since their marriage.  Not only is Joe looking happy and healthy, Marjorie gave him the kick-start (so to speak) to get his album put together and released.  It's so good to see a wife actively taking an interest in her husband's career.  I don't know about singing but she really does enjoy dancing.  :laughing7:

Jill I was thinking about buying the "T" shirt and the Vinyl BUT I'm not doing anything until all the other gets sorted, yes I have also pre ordered  the CD/DVD.....Pity they didn't get it up and running prior to everyone doing a pre order elsewhere!

Barbara mentioned that a few people had posted the same thing about pre-ordering the CD/DVD on Joe's Facebook page.  The posts were deleted!  If they had got things up and running far quicker I think more people would have ordered through them.

I'm not that bothered about the Analog Man t-shirt - would have been better if it had the picture of Joe like the CD cover.  I have ordered one of the "Hillside" t-shirts though!!   :laughing7:

Spanish Dancer

She stands with her head in the air
sweet smell of perfume
castanets playin' and a rose in her hair
holds every heart in the room

Lyrically Spanish Dancer makes me think of that LROOE favourite, I Love To Watch A Woman Dance :icon_geek:

I think the word you are looking for is:

castanets, fan and a rose in her hair

I got on the new board at last - had a few problems but found out it was with IE.  Works much better with Firefox.

Hope you get in soon Karen - we need more of us girls on there.  :icon_thumright:

I'm still waiting for a reply to my e-mail asking whether my previous membership will be honoured.  Somebody posted on Facebook that it looks like there are about 200 members but nothing much is happening on the Forum.  No wonder - we can't get on it!

Had a look at the photos (saw you comment Kim - I agree, lovely photo).   I don't know whether I would pay extra for the Analog Man membership because like a lot of other people, I already have the CD/DVD combo on order.  The only other extra would be the t-shirt and poster - maybe they will eventually turn up in the store.

Nicky Horne just played Lucky That Way on Planet Rock.  The great news is that Joe will be on Planet Rock sometime next month when he visits the UK.  Nicky also said that a video is going to be available online of an interview by William Shatner talking with Joe about the album - track by track!!

 :D :D :D :D :D
