Joe Walsh / Re: "Analog Man"

Good lord, Howard Stern has to be one of the most obnoxious and annoying people on the airwaves! Instead of asking questions and getting an answer he tells the guest what they're feeling and thinking - I despise that in any conversation, public or private.

But Joe outclassed him at every turn.  :icon_thumleft:

Well Kas, if it makes you feel any better, I've never purchased a single Beatles record either. In the beginning it was all pop-style, and I loathe pop music. Later it took itself waaay too seriously for my tastes, but a lot of my favorite bands did that; really it was just their over-all sound that did absolutely nothing for me.

Blasphemy, I know - I don't like the Beatles, so sue me. You can also sue me for going off topic. Sorry.  ;)

That's an interesting perspective re: Marjorie, Pawmuk. I tend to see her more as an encouraging, supporting influence. She wants Joe to be what Joe wants to be and he's running with it. He's NEVER looked better or healthier or happier, even back before the booze took over. If nothing else, she's a helluva lot prettier than Yoko and can no doubt sing better.  :laughing7: I like her.

Testy little cheap shot at the Eagles there  >:(, but a great review for Joe. Can't wait to get this one.

Outstanding non-answer on the Bernie-Randy question. :help:

No kidding! The only way that could have been more awkward was if the 'DF' name was mentioned. It would be absolutely amazing to see a concert featuring a couple of songs with Randy next to Timothy and Bernie between Joe & Steuart though, wouldn't it? Wow. Pipe dreamin', I know.

It's going to be very interesting to see how the three ex-Eagles are depicted in any official, Don & Glenn-blessed documentary. Wonder if there was anything in the Felder settlement that addresses future projects like this? I'm gonna be so pissed if the Mayans were right and we don't live to see this project happen.  ;D

Happy Birthday to my favorite singer/musician in the whole world! Thanks for the 40+ years of great music.  And it just keeps getting better.  :notworthy:

Timothy B. Schmit / Oh, this is tasty!

Joe V just posted this on his facebook - Dan Fogelberg live with Himself on drums and a certain really hot bass player  ;). And unlike so many YouTubes, the audio is good enough to actually hear the great bass lines.

I'd totally forgotten Joe Vitale was on keys for that one. Staged, but still pretty cool, thanks.  :icon_thumleft:

No kidding! Timothy has used his middle initial since his college days and by all accounts is one of the least pretentious people in the biz.  ??? And the crack about his looks - sheese - I suspect that poster's wife or girlfriend finds TBS totally hot and the guy is jealous.  :D :D

Couldn't help but notice that when they presented the guitar Charlene the bride made a beeline for Timothy  :laughing7:

Blame her?   :icon_thumleft: Now, if only her taste in shoes was as good -  :o. Maybe I'm just old, but IMO those things are not only hideous on their own, they extremely UNflattering to the wearer.

Yeah, that popped up on my Google alerts too. I wonder if Timothy is on more than one track?

Whatever, I buy anything he sings or plays on and can't wait to get my hands on this one.  :)

Kinda liked this line: "Every note sits, every sound is a treat."

Not getting the Count Dracula reference though ...  :dontknow:
