I'm absolutely giddy at finding this- Be patient, TBS makes an appearance at about 1:15.  Warning--short hair alert.

I know a lot of you are familiar with the Live by the Bay videos but this was new to me.

General Eagles Discussion / What's your best ticket tip?
« on: May 31, 2010, 04:57:33 PM »
I'm looking to learn from all of your experiences.  What's the best way to get a great seat for a show?  I'm hoping to go to Dallas and would appreciate your tips on your favorite ticket brokers, etc.

Eagles Live!! / My possibly great news
« on: May 30, 2010, 04:08:14 PM »
I'm at the cottage for the weekend.  It's sunny here in Wisconsin, almost 90 and I'm taking a little break in the cool of the kitchen.  Unfortunately, this dial up here is SO painfully SSSLLLOOOOWWWW that if I stay on the computer much longer I'm likely to poke my eye out with a stick.

so here is my possibly great news. . .

I may be going to the June 26 show in Dallas!!  I'm turning 50 this summer and DH and I have talked about what I want to do.  Strange as it may sound. . .  I may head off on a solo adventure which focuses on the Dallas show.  DH's schedule is crazy and mine is wide open, and turning 50 requires a special way to mark the occassion, so I've picked The Eagles.  I'll let you know if our plan works out.  I might be looking for some fellow fans to meet up with in D!

General Eagles Discussion / Starting your day with the Eagles
« on: May 17, 2010, 06:21:56 AM »
Have you ever noticed how often an Eagles song is playing when your radio/alarm goes off in the morning?  I don't usually need any alarm to wake up, but when my husband's radio clicks on at 5:50, I would say that it's often an Eagles song.

Here's my drive to work story for today.  I start the car, and "Boys of Summer" is playing.  When it finishes I click around on satellite radio and hear "Witchy Woman".  I stop to get my coffee and when I get back in my car, "New Kid in Town" is playing.  All of this on my 12 minute drive to work!!!

Timothy B. Schmit / Funny Expando Story
« on: November 20, 2009, 05:44:05 AM »
I teach third grade in a public school in Wisconsin.  The third grade teacher next door to me is a great partner and we've worked together planning and collaborating for about 15 years now.

She came into my room one morning before school when I was playing Expando and commented on what a great sound it had.  One day I carried the CD into her classroom, put it in her player and told her to listen to it after school.  She kept it for a couple days and then brought it back, saying what an awesome CD it was.  (now I know what to get her for Christmas)   Anyway, we chatted about it and she mentioned the songs she like the best, etc.  She doesn't know any of Timothy's solo stuff and hadn't seen the liner notes.

When our conversation was just about over she said, "Have you ever heard Keb Mo?"

"What?" I replied.

"I saw this great concert with Keb Mo.  You should see him."

When I told her that he was on the CD she just listened to, she just about flipped.  She said there was something about it that reminded her of the concert she'd attended.  Isn't that cool?

Timothy B. Schmit / Fun weekend-great finds!
« on: August 23, 2009, 12:07:11 PM »
I'm a fairly new fan of Timothy, and I'm not a collector of "stuff", but this weekend some pretty great things happened.  I stumbled upon a "Rose of Cimarron" album for $2.  When heading for the cashier in the antique store, I bumped into a poster for the Eagles October 18, 1979 concert in Pittsburgh.  It cost me $9.

The following day, in my favorite music store in Madison, Wisconsin, I found 'Poco' and a CD entitled "The Essential Poco".  The "Poco" album was used and cost me 99 cents.  As I checked out, the cashier said, "Oh, you're getting my Poco album!  Hope you love it as much as I did."

Don't know what I'm going to do with the albums, but they look great and will serve at art in my office.  I can see how people can get addicted to the hunt.

Well, I posted yesterday for the first time and finally realized that I should post an introduction here.  I've been reading posts for a long time and decided to join in the fun.

I am a third grade teacher in the US, hailing from the great state of Wisconsin.  Been teaching over 20 years and have loved almost every minute of it.   ;)  I'd be a tad dishonest if I said I loved EVERY minute of it.

I've been married for almost 17 years.  My husband is still trying to figure out my new found interest in the Eagles and Timothy B. Schmit, in particular.  We went to our first Eagles concert back in September, simply because we said it was a band we just had to see.  After that, I bought the latest CD, found this website and just started reading.  I'm hooked.  You guys are really powerful.  If only we could find a way to use your powers for good. . .

Looking forward to hanging out here.    Oh, here's an interesting little tidbit- Lisa's last name just happens to be MY maiden name!!

Hello to all of you.  I've been lurking for some time now.  I've read and read and read, and looked and looked and looked, and watched video after video after video.  While I've always been a fan of the Eagles music, I've never really known that much about the individual members.  Well, howdy-do and thank you all, I think I've become an expert!!!  Your enthusiasm and dedication is awesome.

My DH has now been know to say things like, "My wife is obsessed with the Eagles."  The other day someone mentioned the band and he replied, "Oh, please don't get her started on Timothy B. Schmit."   ::)

Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I've been reading and learning and now might actually start posting.  Hope there's room for another TBS fan.
