Whitney Houston concerts were like Britney Spears...never got a good review  :o.....she was terrible from the clips they showed.

I think that had to do with it.  The promotor put all his money into whitney and therefore had no money left to promote Huey Lewis when Whitney's shows tanked.

Like I said before - if you and any of your friends want to see them there - go out and buy their new album Soulsville.  They do an awesome rendition of Respect Yourself.

I hope he does eventually come to Oz and turn up when the tickets are sold next time, I'm told it wasn't his fault it was the ?promoters, but somehow I think you have changed my concentration on music ???

Yes it was the promoters fault.  Who ever they got had issues with other artists.  I want to say there was a problem with a Whitney Houston show, too.  Check if you can get their new CD - Soulsville and encourage people down there to get it.  It's very good.

How does anyone keep a straight face in those conversations :laughing7:

We laughed a lot during the conversation. He doesn't take himself too seriously.  Very easy to talk to and very easy on the eyes.  But my friend who has been following him for years says she and I are his "type" - petite, intelligent, and not all gaga over him.  So maybe that's why he talked to us for so long. Who knows?  It was tons of fun.  Within the first few minutes of talking to him my friend saw his phone and it said "Huey Lewis and the News" as the screen saver in bold black letters on a white background.  She commented - is that in case you forget who you are?  I lean over him and look at the phone and say "I'm shocked you have a Blackberry - didn't think you were so technical."  He quickly put the phone away and changed the subject.  lol

Julie, I was thinking of you the other day. I read somewhere else about what a big package Huey has. I don't remember what the article was, but it came with a nice picture of him that agreed with what they were saying about him.

Umm - Judy my friends and I talk about it a lot.  It's obvious that it's huge.  And he doesn't wear tight pants.  My friends and I talked to him for 2 hours plus.  Awesome talk.  In the middle of it I mentioned that a golf course he wanted to play was guys only.  His comment to me was "I'm a guy and I can prove it to you - but I won't."

Hey all -

I know it's been a while but just had a Huey Lewis and the News weekend.  Here's a picture to prove it. Told him about the squint and he's Glenn story.  He said it's not the first time people thought he was Glenn.  He said someone at a hotel in NYC that he always stays at allways calls him Glenn.

I wouldn't hold my breath.....they need to rest.  :)

Hmm, if Asia is February/March and Europe is June - could we be getting some US dates in April/May?
That's okay - fall dates would be better on my pocket book.

A few more....I wish I could talk Melissa into Hong Kong for spring break. :)

2/23 Singapore at the Indoor Stadium

3/18 Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Exhibition Centre Hall

Maybe you should go visit Santa and ask him to talk Melissa into going to Hong Kong for spring break. ;)

Seeing Otis would have been cute.  Glad your seats were better than you originally thought.  China in February - guess Pebble is out.  Which is good for me.  Saves me money considering we are going to the Masters in 2011.   Granted I'm thinking he has retired from Pebble.

In my mind - Lisa and Melissa are very famous Eagles fans - they would even be considered infamous.   :laughing7:

No, we didn't change any avatar settings.

I was trying to upload one of my Chicago pics as my avatar but couldn't do it.  Did you guys turn off that capability?  I wanted an avatar (I totally understand why you needed to get rid of mine).

Sorry, Lisa.  I think it was who I got the avatar from that ended up deleting the image from their photobucket account.  I still can't figure out why I can't upload a pic.

Here's the A number 1 reason why Boys of Summer should always stay in the set.  Look at Glenn's face - pure glee.   ;D
