Hello from Ireland Rene.
You certainly travelled alot to see Eagles. As I looked down I thought you were in Ireland to see them play.
They are coming to Ireland at the beginning of July.

Hi there, in fact I'm think about going to Ireland to visit one or more shows. I've never been in Ireland so this would be a good "excuse" for that!

I think my favourite Glenn song is Lover's Moon and then especially when the Eagles sang it on the "second night" bootleg.

This song has a special memory for me because my ex-girlfriend liked this song best. She passed away on cancer a few years ago and whenever I hear this song I still think of her...

How on earth can it be that artists like for instance Al Green (who?), Howlin' Wolf (who?) and even Michael Jackson (who can't sing...) are higher on the list then Don Henley???

It's all a matter of (a lack of) taste i guess...

I know Smith is a good guitar player, there's no doubt about that.

But the BIG difference between Felder and Smith, is that Felders guitar play (like for instance on New Kid in Town on the "Live" album) touches me right in the heart. He puts some EMOTION in his guitar play.

That's what I miss in Smith's guitar play. Smith's guitar play doesn't give me the "goosebumps". Felders guitar play does!

But ofcourse this is only my humble opinion, for what it's worth...

i heard about this show too!  i'm really looking forward to it....huge mistake to cut him out of the band.  they don't have that same raw, rock n roll quality without him. 

I agree! The Eagles are not the same without Don Felder. Stuert Smith is doing "ok"
but not more then "ok" in my opinion... I won't ever see him as an "Eagle".

I think Don Henley and Glenn Frey are GREAT musicians but i think it's very bad that they only put Don Felder out of the band because THEY are to greedy!

Allright... well 5th row is not that bad..  

I bought my ticket for the 2006 show in Rotterdam with ILAA. It costed me $199 but i had a once-in-a-lifetime experience to stand all at front just a few steps from the Eagles and no one before me. Together with about 20 other people we became the first people to get into the Ahoy concert hall and could just run to a good place to stand! It was AMAZING!

I don't care if they win ANY award as long as they make good music!!! 

Awards are things for artist like Britney Spears (urgh!) or artists like that... so that they have something to play with...
