Check out this story about Don's school band director. He taught one kid who later went on to join the infamous Charles Manson's family. Then he joined Don's high school in Linden and played his part in American cultural history all over again....

I remember "Tex" Charles Watson from the books I've read about the Manson family.

From what I remember reading (yes, I can) and some movie about it...some of the names were changed. That provision is usually reserved for protection of the innocent. Was there really any innocence in that bunch?

Maybe not in the Manson Family themselves but what about the parents and siblings of the killers - arn't they the innocents?

I'm wracking my tiny little brain here, but I can't remember if any of the Manson family pukes had offspring. Relatives, certainly, but kids? Oh well, I'm too lazy to research it.

Weird how unconnected people are sometimes connected. Never in a thousand years would I have thought Don Henley and Tex Watson had anything in common, but there you go. Small planet, aint' it?

I had a little looksee and this page seems to be pretty comprehensive

http://investigation.discovery.com/investigation/history/crimes-century/charles-manson/where-now.html

and this page has the "cast of characters"
