Beth JurcakBest of My Love is on now, chills from the first note. This group of incredible musicians, singers and song writers have brought so much to so many. They have been a part of my life since 1972. There are no words to describe what they've meant to me and still mean to me. Their harmonizing is perfection, no other group comes close. I'm so hoping this becomes a permanent station. They so deserve it as well as all of their huge fan base!!!

The Eagles are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their landmark album Hotel California with their very own channel. Hotel California, SiriusXM’s Eagles channel, will feature music from the band’s extensive career, including hits and rarities, as well as their solo records, influences, “Eagles Family Tree” artists and more. The limited-engagement channel will launch Nov. 17 at 12 pm ET/9 pm PT on channel 30.
The channel will include exclusive radio shows hosted by Don Henley and Joe Walsh as well as live concert recordings, including the Eagles recent exclusive performance for SiriusXM at the storied Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
• The channel will also air the band’s exclusive SiriusXM performance, captured live on Oct. 29 the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, which marked the first time the legendary GRAMMY Award-winning band – Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Deacon Frey and Grand Ole Opry member Vince Gill – performed at the iconic venue.
• Journalist and SiriusXM host David Fricke will also host a daily feature, the “Eagles Family Tree,” which will spotlight artists closely connected to the Eagles like Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, and J.D. Souther.
• Hotel California will be reissued in a deluxe 40th-anniversary edition on Nov. 24, pairing the remastered original studio album with 10 live tracks recorded at the Forum in Inglewood, CA, around the time the work was released.
• SiriusXM’s Hotel California channel will feature these previously unreleased live tracks from the Eagles’ 1976 concert at the Forum throughout the limited edition channel.

Deb LacativaYesterday was the sad anniversary of my dear husband's passing. He would have wanted me to make a good day for myself so I took the long way driving for a handful of errands and stumbled across this new station. I love it!. The depth and breadth of the musical influences kept it surprising and entertaining. I was a bigger Eagles fan than Jim, but it felt like this was his gift to me...the time, the cruising and the music made the day more rich with memories than sorrow.

Kazue YuharaGood morning , Eagles !! Congratulations , the 40th anniversary of " Hotel California " !! Have a nice Thursday !! 👩❤️💋👩
More SiriusXM. Here's another playlist loop. From looking at all of the songs "played" (remember, on the preview channel, you can see, but not hear songs) so far, it appears that they are running songs from Classic West and the remastered Hotel California tour tracks. I know some folks were concerned about the lack of POCO. There are POCO tracks. There will also be some JD Souther. The "influences" are interesting. I notice a Scott Joplin song and assume that is because he is from Linden. I think most surprising is the amount of Shiloh songs being played. What are your thoughts? ... See MoreSee Less
Dave GeislerWhen does it start playing? My wife just told me that starting today until the 27th, we get a free SiriusXM preview in our cars (we don’t subscribe). Hopefully I can listen to Eagles radio the whole time!
Want a preview of what the SiriusXM Eagles channel will be playing? You don't have to wait until Friday. Right now, if you check their app on channel 716, they are doing a preview loop. That means you can SEE, but not HEAR what is playing. The folks at Satellite Radio Fan Central have been cataloging what is being played. It's a really exciting mix of pre-Eagles, influences, influenced and Eagles/solo songs. Here's one playlist loop. Others in the comments ... See MoreSee Less
Barbara StokesWe were in a meet and greet with Don Henley in July. My only question for him was why don't we have a dedicated Eagles music channel? I tried 20 times to ask this but the man moving through the room ignored me. However, a man did bring this up and Don turned to Richard ( friend) and said he thought we had one. As soon as he realized we didn't, he said he would get right on it!!!! THANK YOU DON HENLEY!!! As always, a MAN of his word!!!
Gale NardiSuch talent, love & compassion between them. My favorite group since the 70's. Losing Glenn was an incredible loss, but Joe still rocks on! If you've never seen Joe live, make sure you go next time he is in your area-you won't regret it. I can't wait to see him again!
Ai Leen Lye LorensonMy son shares a birthday with my favourite Eagle. I dunno about you guys but man, I feel like the most awesome mum ever for bringing my son into the world on this date! 😁 Miss you lots, Glenn. Happy birthday to my wee man and my fave Eagle.

Jon SutherlandHappy birthday to Glenn. He will always be remembered as being the greatest band ever. Without a doubt
Chuck WhiteWhile at the History of the Eagles tour opening concert in Louisville Ky. Glenn Frey and Don Henley came out first, sang a song then Bernie Leadon came out and preformed with the them. Glenn then says Randy Meisner was suppose to be there but couldn't/didn't make it. Just recently went to Louisville to see an Evening with the Eagles. Don Henley dedicates a song to "Randy Meisner where ever you are". Question I know Randy has had some tough times lately but has he preformed with the Eagles at any time in the past 10-20 years. The only time I'm aware of was the band being inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Beth JurcakDetroit 2017 was spectacular!!! Saw them July 2015 with Glenn, little did we know that would be mine and Hubby's last time we would see Glenn with the Eagles. Deacon was fabulous as well as Vince. Memories for a lifetime

KEN BURNS, DON HENLEY, ERIK AND CHRIS EWERS, AND DOUG BRINKLEY HOST FILM PREMIERE OF “WALDEN” NOVEMBER 8TH AT BOSTON COLLEGE MODERATED BY CNN PRESIDENTIAL HISTORIAN DOUGLAS BRINKLEY
NEW SHORT FILM EXECUTIVE PRODUCED BY KEN BURNS EXPLORES THE LIFE AND WRITINGS OF HENRY DAVID THOREAU
(Concord, MA) – November 2, 2017 – Musician Don Henley and filmmakers Ken Burns, Erik Ewers and Christopher Loren Ewers will host the premiere of Burns executive produced film, “Walden” on November 8th at Boston College. Following the screening, Burns, Henley and the Ewers Brothers will have a discussion and take audience questions on the film moderated by CNN Presidential Historian Douglas Brinkley.
Tickets for the November 8 event are available at www.bc.edu/tickets or by calling (617) 552-4800. “Walden” will be available for public viewing at walden.org following the premiere. “Walden” is narrated by Robert Redford. Kevin Conway is the voice of Thoreau. The brief documentary was created for the Walden Pond Visitor Center. The film by Ewers Brothers Productions was produced by Julie Coffman, and executive produced by Ken Burns.
The film explores the writings of Thoreau and looks at how his life and work continue to provide inspiration for an environmental movement that is critical to the health of our country and the world. This year marks the bicentennial of Henry David Thoreau’s birth.
“I’ve long been interested in Thoreau,” said Burns. “But like others, I’m increasingly drawn not just to the eloquence of his writings but also to the importance of them as we urgently look to create greater awareness and appreciation of nature and the environment. His legacy, so beautifully preserved by the Walden Woods Project, is a call to action for all of us. We must rethink how we as a nation treat our land and natural resources. The awe and wonder that Thoreau found at Walden, and along his many walks, must infuse how we look at and experience nature. It is critical to our ability to heal the planet.”
Don Henley stressed the importance of the film, saying, “There is no better way to encourage youth toward active engagement in the preservation of the planet than to awaken their intrinsic sense of wonder derived from communion with nature. Walden Pond – the birthplace of the conservation movement -- is the ideal location to foster such an ethic of environmental stewardship in people of all ages. This inspirational film will be seen by visitors from around the world who come to Walden Pond. Following the example set by Thoreau, they will be urged to consider their own “Waldens”; their own special places; why these places throughout the world matter; and why we must strive to protect them, not only for ourselves, but for future generations.”
“Most people would describe the woods at Walden as ‘ordinary,’” said co-directors Erik and Christopher Loren Ewers. "But we sought to capture Walden Pond's natural surroundings through Henry David Thoreau's unique lens. His discoveries inspired him to write one of history's most important essays about the relationship between nature and humankind, and through his works he reminds us who we are, how we live, and how too often we fall into 'lives of quiet desperation.' In today's environmentally challenged climate, the words of this 19th century prophet are more relevant than ever, imploring us to re-evaluate our responsibility to the larger world and, as Thoreau said, to 'Simplify! Simplify!'"
Thoreau was born two hundred years ago (1817) in Concord, MA, not far from Walden Pond, where he famously lived and wrote in the mid-19th century. The writer/philosopher is widely known around the world for his dual influences on natural resource conservation and passive resistance/non-violent protest. Thoreau’s Walden has been translated into 20 modern languages; most recently into Farsi. His essay, “Civil Disobedience” continues to guide global human rights struggles. Thoreau’s timeless writings challenge the individual to lead a life of simplicity, principle and purpose, and derive a sense of spiritual renewal from nature. His thoughts could not be more timely or contemporary, in view of the ongoing planetary challenges of climate change and loss of biodiversity.
The nonprofit Walden Woods Project (walden.org) is coordinating the premiere of the short documentary “Walden” on Wednesday, November 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Boston College’s Robsham Theater. In 1990, Don Henley founded the organization to protect the historic woods near Walden Pond from encroaching development. Since then, the Walden Woods Project has grown into a preeminent preservation and environmental education organization. Through conservation, education, research and advocacy, the Walden Woods Project preserves the land, literature and legacy of Henry David Thoreau in order to foster an ethic of environmental stewardship and social responsibility. As part of its mission, the organization partners with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts/Department of Conservation and Recreation on programs and interpretation at the Walden Pond State Reservation, a state park visited annually by over a half million people from around the world.
Tickets for the November 8 event are available at www.bc.edu/tickets or by calling (617) 552-4800. “Walden” will be available for public viewing at walden.org following the premiere. ... See MoreSee Less
